Privacy policy
This site sets no cookies. It counts visits with Umami Cloud, which stores no IP addresses or personal data. The personal data we do handle is listed below, with the reason for each.
Visit counts
We count visits with Umami Cloud, hosted in the EU. It sets no cookies. For each visit it records the page, the referring site, the browser, the type of device and the country. It stores no IP addresses and no other personal data.
Umami’s script loads from cloud.umami.is, and the counts are sent to gateway.umami.is.
Files and links
The fonts, scripts and data files are served from the site itself. The only requests to another service are the visit counts above.
Some pages link to housing authorities’ websites and to archived copies on the Internet Archive. Those sites have their own privacy rules.
Server logs
Standard server logs are kept by the static host that serves the site, for security. They record the IP address, the time and the page requested.
Emails and orders
The “Request a sample” form sends nothing from the page. It writes the email in your own email app, and you decide whether to send it.
When you write to us or place an order, we keep the messages and the order details to answer you, deliver the files and invoice you. Accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Payments
Orders are paid against an invoice that says how to pay. If card payment is offered later, the payment provider handles the card details and we never see the card number.
Legal bases
- Requests and orders: to take the steps you ask for before a contract and to carry out the contract (answering, sending a sample, delivering and invoicing).
- Server logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- Accounting records: the legal obligation to keep them.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: for the short period set by the host’s own policy.
- Emails and order details: as long as needed to answer you and deliver what you ordered.
- Accounting records: as long as the law requires.

Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to hello@allowances.dev. Accounting records stay for the period the law sets, even if you ask us to delete them.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the one in the EU country where you live or work.
